Happy Friday! Pssst… special offer below 👇
This week has been so humbling. We have grown by 193 subscribers. This is by far and away the largest 1-week climb ever. And with that came news that we are now #94 in Health and Wellness across all of Substack. So now I’m over here crying…thank you!

I started this publication to help those of us functioning at the highest level, but living far from “fine”.
One way I am doing that is by offering a FREE Live Workshop, “The Holiday Survival Guide,” on November 10 at 8:00 PM CST. During the workshop, we'll go through hands-on strategies to assess our capacity and create ways to retain and expand it. We'll also cover what to do as we head into January after the holidays.

The workshop will be LIVE on Substack and free to everyone. It will last about an hour.
Paid members of The Cost of Functioning will receive a separate invitation to a private Q&A after the workshop where we can talk through specific situations you may have coming up that you need help processing. They will also receive a follow-along workbook in addition to the normal paid member perks (see the bottom of this email).
As a Thank You to everyone who has subscribed recently,
I am offering 94% off until October 31.
Talk soon,

Free posts will always help you name what’s happening to and around you. Paid is where we actually do something about it.
Deep dives inside the Premium Content Library.

A Micro-moments thread. Once a week, we share the smallest thing that felt safe. Answering the phone. Sending the text without rereading it ten times. It sounds tiny, and that’s the point: your brain learns safety through repetition, not size. I’ll be in there with you.
Your questions, answered. Once a month, I’ll take some of what members are carrying and respond during a Live Event.
The tools. Worksheets you can actually use, like the Capacity Ledger and the Crash Audit, yours to keep. E-books, like my expanded When You're Too Numb to Cry. Field Guides for each Spiral terrain.
If you’re already a paid member, thank you. You’re the reason I get to keep doing this.
